Is there any way to fulfill the Direct Deposit requirement through another bank or something aside from an employer DD?

Based on how they define it seems that if youre not doing an employer DD or putting in money you get paid over and over again then you wont get the bonus.

Qualifying direct deposits are recurring electronic deposits of funds (via ACH) from third-parties including:

    •Your employer’s payroll or pension
•Social Security or other government benefits
PerkStreet reserves the right to determine what qualifies as a direct deposit at our sole discretion.

I’ve had Sovereign Bank as my primary checking forever… I kind of like it’s small bank feel. Everyone in the bank knows me by name; knows my entire family and always ask how everyone is doing. It’s a real personal touch. They are still one of the very few banks that still take tenure into consideration when you’re going in for a loan. They also came in really good when I needed a small business loan.

But yea, their online system is what you’d expect from a small bank. It’s pretty old school in terms of features and intuitiveness. I basically use them to pay all my bills and thats about it. Fidelity Smartcash Sovereign BillPay. I only use this setup mostly because I’m too lazy to set up my bills on Fidelity. I keep less than a couple thousand in there at all times.
