WaMu/Chase Bank Deal: President’s Day Bonus

WaMu/Chase will have a one day President’s Day promotion tomorrow (2/16/2009) for a $100 bank bonus when you open a new checking account with direct deposit and deposit at least $100. The bonus should show up in your account within 12 weeks. This deal is for new account holders only.
No coupon or promotional code is required for this deal; just go in on Monday and ask about it. WaMu and Chase banks will be open on Monday, President’s day for this reason.
If you’re looking to open a business checking account, Chase currently has a business checking bonus of $200 for opening a business account by 3/28/2009 and depositing at least $500. The business checking accounts that qualify for this bonus include the Chase BusinessClassic Checking, the Chase Advanced Business Checking and the BusinessPlus Checking. All have monthly fees. The fees on the first two can be waived, but it requires a fairly large balance.

When I signed up for a Wamu account a couple of months ago, I signed up hastily and didn’t put the full amount that qualifies you for the $100 bonus.
I did nothing else with the account, except for one purchase and one deposit, and I check my account two days ago, and I received a $100 bonus! I checked to see if I actually qualify, but I don’t, so this is interesting.
I’m not complaining!
