First Republic Bank has some of the best CD rates currently available. Their certificates require a minimum deposit of $5,000, and include the following:

• 1 year CD with 2.05%
• 18 month CD with 2.50%
• 2 year CD with 3.05%
• 4 year CD with 3.75%
• 5 year CD with 4.00%

In addition, First Republic Bank also has a 7 month special CD at 2.15% APY, a 30 day special at 1.20%, and a 10 month Liquid CD at 2.05%.

First Republic Bank is a division fo Merril Lynch, which is now owned by Bank of America. It looks like you have to open an account in a branch.
