Countrywide Bank is offering a high savings rate of 5.40% APY. Minimum balance for this rate is $50,000; maximum is $2,499,999. So if you have more than 2.5 million, you should probably consider putting it elsewhere. Like in a CD, perhaps.

Their low and high bracket rates are not so hot, however. $250-999 yields a pitiful 0.50% APY, $1000-9,999; 1.25% APY. But their 5.40% APY rate is one of the highest available for fluid savings accounts.
